Meet Skeeze Bear

he's orangina's new mascot, who appears on soda machines throughout paris:



bear-man + porn-pose = undertones of bestiality, right? is that what gets to me when i look at this? because, urrgh...

at first i thought i was going to have to change the name of the blog, and possibly never drink orangina again.

but now Skeeze Bear is kind of growing on me. he's so gross, he's fascinating; plus the wink is kinda cute.

ps. meet his much tamer lady-friends, who are like 10 feet tall on posters in several metro stations.

today we did fancy things: window shopping at le bon marche, buying gifts at la maison du chocolat, a stroll through the tuileries. no inspiring pictures, though.

but on a side note,

vienna is such a beautiful city, and i took such weird+ugly pictures of it.

i wish i had pictures of the 'secret' bar cx's friends from the newspaper took us to. it was in an old synagogue, and they projected trippy lights on the high vaulted ceilings...

or pictures of the hundertwasser house, with the "tree tenants" chilling out in the windows and kooky rippling sidewalks laid out down below...

but it was not to be.

so, some non-visual commentary on vienna. serving coffee with a glass of water is genius, but i knew that already. cafe havelka is nice. rubens, j'adore. in the standing room of the opera house, we heard the vienna philharmonic play a beethoven piano concerto that i swear is in a woody allen movie but i'm not sure which one. austrians like green architecture, and all the italians are going home to vote, and i wish i had cool foreign friends like cx, but don't we all. and SCHIELE SCHIELE SCHIELE.

i'm looking through the WWOOF france catalog to try and find a farm to work on at the end of the summer. i enjoyed many of the blurbs
